Meet the Team
Schalk Badenhorst
Owner and director
Schalk graduated from Stellenbosch University. He holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science (Honours) degree.
After completing his training with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Schalk qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Registered Auditor, developing broad experience across multiple industries.
His career includes senior financial management roles within international organisations in the pharmaceutical, banking, property, and engineering sectors, primarily based in Johannesburg. This exposure has given him a strong commercial understanding of complex business environments.
In 2012, Schalk founded his own accounting and audit practice, which has since grown to include offices in the United Kingdom, Portugal, and South Africa. With over 20 years of experience in auditing and business advisory services, he provides clients with practical insight, strategic guidance, and a steady, experienced approach.
Outside of work, Schalk enjoys playing squash and regularly competes in European tournaments.
Angelique Erasmus
Angelique is a Chartered Business Accountant in Practice (CBAP) through CIBA, with a degree from Nelson Mandela University. Since joining Vantage Point Chartered Accountants in 2020, she has advanced to Financial Manager, showcasing her dedication and strong professional development.
She plays a key role in overseeing financial management, reporting, and compliance, and supports clients with clear, practical financial insight. Prior to joining the firm, Angelique worked as a freelance accountant across a wide range of industries, giving her a strong understanding of diverse business environments.
Known for her structured, detail-driven approach, she excels at communicating complex financial matters in a clear and approachable way. She values continuous learning and maintaining balance, which underpins her consistent and thoughtful work style.
Lisa Murray
Lisa Murray joined Vantage Point in March 2025 and quickly became the heartbeat of the office. As Office Administrator, she ensures the smooth running of day-to-day operations while maintaining strong client relationships. Known for her efficiency and approachable nature, Lisa keeps everything on track with a balance of professionalism and good humour, making the workplace both productive and enjoyable.
